To the General Membership of NGMSAR

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support of NGMSAR. It is you, the dedicated Volunteers who put life into the organization.  We can never thank you enough for your dedication and belief in our cause of providing a Mounted Search and Rescue Unit to the North Georgia Area.  Training with the membership in the classroom and at Field Exercises are truly the highlights of each month!!

Our new website at www.ngmsar.org has been up and running for the past couple of months which provides you, the member, with 24/7 access for the most up to date information regarding NGMSAR and trainings.  If you are a paid, active member, you will have already been given a password to access the second tier of the website which has photos, the recall roster, training events from previous classroom trainings, Officers Bios etc.  As an active member, the 2nd tier of the website provides you with the opportunity to blog and network with other members on the website once you have “logged in” to the website.  When new items/training dates are posted to the website an email is generated from “North Georgia Mounted Search and Rescue” directly to your mail box.  If you are not receiving these email reminders when there is a new post (if you click on the post, it will bring you directly to the website) please contact me at secretary@ngmsar.org and I will be happy to assist you.  In the event you have lost or forgotten your password, no worries, I will be happy to assist you with this as well!!  Walt will give an overview of the website along with its capabilities.  The “Events Calendar” has the most up to date training information.

At our next classroom training will be held on Thursday, July 21st. As a reminder, the classroom training is always held on the third Thursday of each month.  Don’t forget about the Mock SAR Exercise in Fairburn, GA on July 23rd. Location and training topics TBA for July, but be sure to save the date!! Walt will give an overview of the website along with its capabilities.

If you could, please hit the “reply button” on this email to acknowledge that you have received the Comms email, it would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks again for all you do!
